A life-long resident of South Boston, Susan was literally born in South Boston at Carney Hospital, andlater volunteered at Marion Manor, which took over Carney's buildings. She was proud of her family, her community and her Irish-Lithuanian heritage (she was 'Harpuanian' her father said). She loved cooking, books, gardening and travel, and was a member of the Mattapannock Woman's Club of South Boston, the Castle Island Association, and the Garden Club.

Susan attended St. Peter Grammar School, Cardinal Cushing High School, the Boston Business School, and received her BS in Business Management from Boston State College. She retired from the City of Boston Assessing Department in 2013. An active member of the St. Peter Lithuanian Parish, she was well known for her gingerbread and krusties at the annual parish bazaar, and for many years she and her sisters ran the children's chance table for the annual Christmas bazaars. Susan crocheted afghans for veterans, created teddy bears and other stuffed animals for various charities, and supported many diverse charities and educational facilities.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations
to St. Peter Lithuanian Parish of South Boston or to the charity of your choice
