Richard was born in Ventura on November 1, 1960 to Juan and Ruth Romero. He attended Ventura High School where he earned his high school diploma.
Richard dedicated more than 20 years of work with MRC Global as warehouse manager. He took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethics, resilience and commitment. Richard was definitely one of a kind. He had a heart of gold, funny sense of humor, best personality, and a smile that could light up a room. Anyone who had the honor of knowing Richard will surely cherish his memory of a lifetime.
Richard found joy in the simple things in life, especially spending time with the people he loved. He enjoyed family barbecues. One of his greatest joys was watching one grandson compete in Ventura High School Wrestling matches and another grandson play Santa Paula Baseball. He especially enjoyed attending Ventura High School Friday Night Football games with cousin Jeff and sharing Sunday morning breakfast with his brother Larry.
Richard also treasured the vacations he took to Hawaii with his longtime soulmate, Sherri. Those trips were their special paradise getaways.
Richard is survived by his longtime soulmate, Sherri; his children: Richard Romero, Jr., Amber Romero, Anna Romero, and Felicia Romero; and his grandchildren: Anthony, Rudy, Brieanne, Daizy, Michael, Erik, Logan, Izeah, Mercedez, Xzavier, and Ezekiel. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through his family, his friends, and all those whose lives he touched. The love he gave, the laughter shared, the memories he created will remain in our hearts forever. Richard, you will forever be loved, forever be remembered, and forever missed.
