Obituary

Thomas L. Lemos, 67, of Barclay Street, Harmony, passed away on Monday, August 10th, 2026. He was the husband of Allison M. (Downs) Lemos. They had been married for 35 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Doris (Liberty) Lemos. He had lived in Harmony for 35 years previously living in Johnston.

He had been a maintenance manager for LFI Inc. in Smithfield for 32 years before retiring.

Tom had been a soccer coach for BGYSA for many years and was also a softball coach with Glocester Little League and Ponagansett Middle School.

He had a love for sailing and sailing gave him the chance of a lifetime by participating in the Marion/Bermuda race in 2018.

He had been a dedicated member of the community as well as the Town of Glocester Recreation Committee for 5+ years and a member of the Waterman Lake Shore Association.

He was a fabulous friend to many and an animal lover.

Besides his wife he leaves his daughter, Jillian E. Wiggill and her husband Elijah of Jonesville, NC. He was the brother of the late Richard A. “Rick” Lemos. He was the son-in-law of Francis Downs and the late Alice Downs. Brother-in-law to Lauren and James Hoard and Francine Larsh and the late Kenneth Larsh. Uncle of Kendra Velez (Gian): Leah Hoard (Zane Robidoux) and Jenna Larsh. Great Uncle to Leon Velez


A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 15th at 11am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. His burial will be private. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 9am to 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be to Susan F. Smith Center for Women's Cancers, Breast Oncology Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215
