Tracy A. McDermott of Hudson, NH.
Tracy A. McDermott, 63, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday August 8, 2026 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Tracy was the loving mother of Austin Scott Terrio and his wife Alicia Terrio. Loving "Gram" to Cameron & Hazely Terrio. She was was born in Lowell on May 13, 1963, daughter to the late Arthur M. McDermott, Sr. and the late Phyllis (Scott) McDermott. Raised in Lowell and lived in Chelmsford, MA before moving to Hudson, NH. Tracy Graduated from Lowell High School in 1981, earned Bachelor's Degree in nursing from UMass Lowell in 1994, and her Master's Degree in Education (School Nursing) in 2001. She loved the children she cared for while working as a school nurse at the Shaughnessy and Butler Schools in Lowell for 29 1/2 years.
Family was most important, especially spending time with her grandchildren, son, daughter in law, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.
She enjoyed watching grandchildren and family sporting events and recitals. Sitting by the ocean was one of her favorite places. She loved sewing, water and snow skiing, roller skating, Feaster Five Road Race, Topsfield Fair. She enjoyed participating in Long Pond Water Ski show and Precision Roller Skating at Roller Kingdom with her Sister Colleen. She went on many adventures with family and friends and even went skydiving for her 50th birthday. Shirley was her sister, friend and neighbor. They spent lots of time together with Shirley's "husband" Ron and of recent played lots of cribbage, even teaching her nine year old grandson how to play.
She loved her family; her brother the late John Scott Keenan who passed away in 1970, the late Colleen Reynolds, and her surviving husband Brett of Hudson, NH, her sister Shirley Keenan, and her husband the late Ron Vitukevich, her brothers Michael McDermott and his wife Janine of Nashua, Thomas McDermott and his wife Tracy of Salem, NH, Arthur M. McDermott Jr. and his wife Carol of Lowell, MA, Christopher McDermott and his wife Gloria of Lowell, in addition she leaves her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces. In addition to her family she was the best friend of Lisa Whiteneck of Derry, NH, and the late Denice Lawrence.
Tracy would never pass up a opportunity to go get an ice cream or lobster roll.
