In celebration of the lives of Janet Marie (Richmond) Connerty and Patrick Henry Connerty, Sr.
Born in February 1946, Pat was the eldest of 8 children of Agnes and Hugh. Born in June 1946, Janet was the eldest of 14 children of Loretta and George.
Growing up within a few miles of each other, they met and fell in love shortly after their high school graduation in 1964. Married at St. Anne’s in June 1967, Janet and Pat joyfully became parents of Patrick, Shannon, and Sean.
Both raised in Boston, they made their home in Marshfield for the last 54 years. Pat was a union carpenter and Janet a registered nurse working hard to provide for their family. Both were active in the community, volunteering, coaching, and building a legacy of love through the years.
They enjoyed the blessing of their grandchildren and looked forward to their time together each winter in Florida. Although the advancing years presented them each with multiple health challenges, both Janet and Pat persevered always looking forward to making and sharing new memories with their family.
Under the loving care of family, Pat passed away on May 24, 2023 and Janet joined him on June 9, 2026, the day before their 59th Wedding Anniversary. They were predeceased by their loving parents, beloved siblings, dear brothers-in-law and nieces and nephew. They each are survived by their beloved children, Patrick (Sharon), Shannon, Sean (Jennifer); grandchildren, Avery and Harrison; their large extended family including siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
Janet and Pat will together be remembered always as beloved wife and husband, mother and father, sister and brother, aunt and uncle, mother-in-law and father-in-law, grandmother and grandfather, and friend to many who lived joyfully and loved their family. They will be forever missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday 8/15/26 at 10:30 am at St. Anne’s church, 90 W Milton Street, Readville 02136. Followed by a 12:00 luncheon at Tavern in the Square, 60 Forbes Road, Braintree, 02184.
