Patricia Seagroves Royal, 79, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Thursday August 6, 2026, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Frank Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County, Georgia, with Elder Chad O’Quinn officiating. Lea Royal and Lavon During will both deliver eulogies. Interment will follow in the Whitley Cemetery, in Irwin County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the church sanctuary.
Mrs. Royal was born September 17, 1946, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Delmar Wilbur & Inez Freeman Seagroves. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1964 and received her cosmetology training from Pittsburgh Cosmetology School and Tifton Beauty School. Mrs. Royal was a beautician and a farmer’s wife. She was a longtime member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Royal Williamson and her husband Kenneth Williamson of Irwin County; son, Seaborn Cletus “Clete” Royal and his wife Robin Lea Edwards Royal of Irwin County; grandchildren: Jeremy Williamson, Kelli Williamson Arnold and her husband Miles Arnold, Madison Royal Fiske and her husband Chiles, Judge Royal and his fiance’ Chaney Hogan, and Thadd Royal; great-grandchildren: Harmin Katherine Arnold and Ladd Collins Arnold, sisters in law: Betty Laura Walker, Teresa Royal and Mokana Royal Clements, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Seaborn J. Royal.
