Jacqueline J. (White) Cole, 76, of Londonderry, NH, passed from this life into the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday August 4, 2026. Born on December 17, 1949 in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Cedric and Esther (Clark) White and was raised in Central Square, NY.
Professionally, Jackie started as a hairdresser just out of high school in NY. After moving to NH, her friendly and unassuming personality was a perfect fit in many different retail spaces including The Covered Bridge, Fabric Gallery, Teddy Bear's Hallmark, and a few Sears locations where she spent 24 years as an accomplished and nationally recognized salesperson until her retirement in 2014.
Jackie lived a life of integrity and service to the Lord, using her many gifts and talents to tirelessly pour into others. She loved music, serving faithfully as organist for both the First Baptist Church of Hudson, NH (52 years) and the OES Pilgrim Chapter 55 (42 years). She was a member of the Dove Singers for decades, which she enjoyed immensely. Jackie always had a song in her heart. If you were lucky to get really close to her on any given day, you could hear her humming a hymn using that beautifully rich soprano (turned bass) voice. Her favorite song was "Joy Comes in the Morning" which echoed her life verse Psalm 30:5 "...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
One of Jackie's favorite movies (she LOVED musicals) was "Mary Poppins" and really, that's exactly who she was. She could walk into a room and you knew everything was ok because she was there. She could craft just about anything, often sewing and designing elaborate quilted items without a pattern or knitting gorgeous chemo caps for local cancer treatment centers. She could pull little things from her seemingly unending bag of tricks, and put together the most beautiful gifts, meals, or experiences from the heart. She was playful and enjoyed games, whether it was playing cards with friends and family or watching quiz shows on tv that "kept her brain moving". She taught us how to love and be loyal and fair...how to dance and sing, even through adversity...how to be fearless, unwavering, kind, and genuine. We never wanted her to leave, but ultimately knew she was needed elsewhere.
When asked recently what she would want to say in her obituary she said, "Tell them 'I love you all'." That was Jackie. Loving and beloved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracey Bachand (John) of Allenstown, NH, her son Terrance Cole (Victoria) of Epping, NH, her granddaughters Alyssa and Ruthie, and great grandsons Kayden and Robbie. She is also survived by her siblings Charlotte Stroud, Patricia Berg (Louie), Betty Herloski (Robert), Ronald White (Linda), Roger White (Shelley), William White, her "adopted" sister Janice Greene, and her beloved Aunt Ginny ("Edna"), as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years Bruce M. Cole in 2015, and by her brother Robert White.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held by family on August 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, 236 Central Street, Hudson, NH with a luncheon to follow. Private interment with her husband Bruce will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at a later date.
