Obituary

GILFORD ----Anyone who was a family member or friend of Priscilla Clark experienced the joy and light in her eyes that reflected her spiritedness and her deep love for the people in her life. She truly touched our souls.

Priscilla “Cilla” Walker Clark, (nee Priscilla Evelyn Walker), 86, of Gilford, NH passed away after a brief illness and time spent with family on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Concord Hospital-Laconia.

Born on October 9, 1939 in Laconia, NH to Francis Walker and Barbara Davis Walker, Cilla grew up in Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School. She then ventured to Miami, Florida and San Francisco, California, where she worked as a secretary and enjoyed city life with friends. She loved sharing the memory of her road trip across the country with her best friend, all their belongings packed into a tiny Austin Healey Sprite.

Although they attended Laconia High School together, Cilla didn’t really get to know her future husband, Charles “Chuck” Clark, until he connected with her during a trip to San Francisco. Within a few months they were on their way to Florida for an intimate wedding on April 10, 1965. They eventually settled in New Hampshire and raised their family. She spent the majority of her career as an office manager at Century 21 Keewaydin, where she developed a lifelong interest in real estate, and at Lakes Region General Hospital, where she was a health unit coordinator in Pediatrics and Obstetrics. Tennis was her longtime hobby, which sparked many lasting friendships.

After retirement, Cilla and Chuck spent 15 winters snowbirding to The Villages in Florida, where they made a whole new group of close friends. Back in New Hampshire in summertime, she cherished and spoiled her grandchildren (offering them ice cream for dinner!), was a longtime member of the Opechee Garden Club, gathered with old friends to play cards, and hosted “happy hour” on the deck overlooking Gunstock and Belknap Mountains.

Last April, Cilla and Chuck’s family and friends gathered at Laconia Country Club to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Cilla sipped a Cosmo and basked in the warmth of the gathering.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Chuck Clark; her brother, Dean Walker, and his wife, Sally Walker, of Palm Harbour Florida; her aunts Noella Maheux of Laconia, NH and Beverly Inglis of Sebring, FL; her children Lauren Clark and her partner, Stephen Desaulniers, of Easthampton, MA; Jason Clark and his wife, Heather Tetreault Clark, of Naples, FL and Laconia, NH; Dayna Clark Wernig and her husband, Jason Wernig, of Gilford, NH; grandchildren Andrew, Isabella, Taryn, Addy and Joel; and dozens of beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Davis Walker, and father, Francis Walker.

Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 2:00pm-4:00pm in the Carriage House at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home,164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
