Mary Louise Hiday
November 16, 1939-August 3, 2026
Mary Louise (Crouch) Hiday, 86, daughter of John W. and Janie (Sharpe) Crouch passed away on August 3, 2026 at Community Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She stayed home to raise six children before going to college to become a registered nurse.
She worked at Ball Memorial and then went to Ivy Tech in Muncie to teach nursing, where she enjoyed working with students. She became the program chair for both LPN and RN students and retired at 75.
She loved jigsaw puzzles and family dinners.
Mary is survived by her son, David R. (Tammy) Hiday of Middletown; step-son, James D. Hiday of Muncie; daughter, Karen J. Hiday of Muncie; daughters-in-law, Sherilyn Standfield and Lisa Hiday; son-in-law Jeff Styche; two granddaughters, Catlin Humes and Nicki McGachey; great granddaughter Zoe McGachey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, David L. Hiday; second husband, Joseph R. Hiday; two sons, Steven N. Hiday and John P. Hiday; her daughter, Christy A. Hiday.
Nurses Honor Guard service will be at 12:45 P.M. before the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial in East Maplewood Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12:45 PM prior to the funeral.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Madison County Humane Society.
