Sheila A. (Brown) Sabourin, 78, of Dartmouth, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Paul R. Sabourin, they shared 52 years of marriage.
Mrs. Sabourin was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Alfred Brown, Jr. and the late Dorothy T. (Paquin) Brown, and had resided in Dartmouth for 45 years. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a tax clerk for the Town of Dartmouth.
Above all else, she was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother. She was the heart of her family, always putting the needs of others before her own and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. She found great joy in baking for family and friends, and some of her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen sharing homemade treats with those she loved especially cooking her famous pancakes for her two grandson’s . She also enjoyed helping with BINGO at Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport and cherished attending her grandchildren's sporting events, where she was their biggest fan.
Her kindness, selflessness, and ability to bring joy to every room she entered will be remembered by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Survivors along with her husband include her son: Jameson P. Sabourin and his wife Amy of Dartmouth; a sister: Deborah White of Westport; 2 grandchildren: J.T. and Kade; along with several nieces.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Potter Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment is private.
