Lucille J. (Michaud) Mercier, 93, of Dartmouth, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late George E. Mercier.
Mrs. Mercier was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Aurel and Loretta (Pelletier) Michaud and had been a longtime resident of Tiverton prior to relocating to Dartmouth. She was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her 3 daughters: Diane Sholan and her husband Marcel of Hardwick, VT, Louise McDonald and her husband Shawn of Dartmouth and Jeanne Jennings and her husband Richard of Cranston, RI; a brother: Richard Michaud and his wife Simonne of Ledyard, CT; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Suzanne Arruda, grandmother of the late Cecily Arruda and sister of the late Annette Thibault and Madeline Barros.
Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 5-7 P.M. at Potter Funeral Home.
Funeral will be Thursday, August 6, 2026 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at
St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
