Monica C. McCarthy, 24, of Derry, NH, died Wednesday July 29, 2026 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on December 3, 2001, a daughter of Jameson McCarthy and Dawn (Heyward) McCarthy. Having been a lifelong resident of Derry, she was an Alumni of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 2020. Monica enjoyed drawing, listening to music, and “discussing” politics. She also loved animals, and all things in Japanese culture.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Mito McCarthy of Derry; her paternal grandmother, Linda McCarthy-Coddens and her husband Lee of Peabody, MA; her paternal great grandmother, Gloria Upton of Newburyport, MA; her fiancé, Malcolm LaRiviere of Derry; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; as well as lots of amazing friends and their families.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 6th from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry.
