Obituary

Elaine C. Martin, 82, of Tewksbury, Massachusetts passed away at home after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Raised in Malden, MA, Elaine graduated from Malden High School in 1961 and proudly received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Northeastern University in 1991. As a founding member, Elaine spent many years managing investment portfolios at Cabot Wealth Management. After her retirement, Elaine dedicated her time to watching her grandchildren and great niece and nephew.

Elaine often shared fond memories of raising her family in Salem, Mass. She was an active participant in the community and at Bishop Fenwick High School. Elaine loved to travel the world: African safaris, South American journeys, European adventures, RVing explorations; nothing was out of the question. Though her most treasured times were those spent watching the sunset from her porch in Maine with her family. For Elaine, family was everything.

Elaine was the beloved wife of Roy to whom she was married for 52 years prior to his passing in 2018. She was a devoted mother to Anthony and his wife Beth and Duane and his wife Jeanne all of Tewksbury. Elaine is also survived by her loving grandchildren Amelia, Matthew, Juliana and Jayme and is further survived by her sister, Rosalie (Ralph) Procopio of Malden, MA, brother Vincent (Barbara) Froio of Hobe Sound, FL, brother Stephen (Veronica) Froio of Boxford, MA, sister Jeanne (Alan) Bumstead of Windham, NH, and sister-in-law Carol Froio of Boxford, MA. Elaine is predeceased by her husband Roy Martin, parents, John and V. Jeanne (Torelli) Froio, and brothers John (Judith) Froio of Malden, MA and Bruce Froio of Boxford, MA.

Calling hours are Wednesday, August 5th, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin on Thursday, August 6th at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church, 2 Searles Rd, Windham, NH. Interment at Cemetery on the Plains, (New Plains), Ministerial Road, Windham, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Donna Froio DeLena Memorial Scholarship Fund, 16 Forest Court, Malden, MA 02148.
