Jaidy Cecilia Castillo JANUARY 16, 1975 – JULY 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jaidy Cecilia Castillo, who peacefully departed this life on July 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Jaidy was born on January 16, 1975, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to her loving parents, Arturo Castillo and Gladys Colindres. She carried her Honduran roots with pride and touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her warmth, kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family.
Above all else, Jaidy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was the beloved wife of Joel Guzman, with whom she shared a life built on love, commitment, and cherished memories.
She was the proud and loving mother of Jazmin Guzman-Nguyen and her husband, Vinh Nguyen, and Gabriel Guzman. Nothing brought Jaidy greater joy than being “Grandma” to her precious granddaughter, Camila Elise Nguyen, who was the light of her life.
Jaidy had a beautiful spirit that radiated compassion, generosity, and resilience. She always put others before herself, offering a listening ear, comforting embrace, and words of encouragement whenever they were needed. Her smile could brighten any room, and her love created a home where everyone felt welcomed and cherished.
Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, her legacy of unconditional love, faith, courage, and selflessness will continue to live on through her family and all whose lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her husband, children, granddaughter, parents, siblings, extended family, and countless friends who were blessed to know and love her.
While we grieve the loss of her physical presence, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, free from pain, and embraced by God's eternal love.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Jaidy at Casper Funeral Home 187 Dorchester St South Boston on Sunday August 9, 2026 from 12:00-2pm.
