Mary-Ellen Rodrigues (Forti) of Medford passed away suddenly on Friday, July 24, 2026. She was 65 years old. Mary-Ellen was the beloved wife of Manuel Rodrigues. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of Christine (Harrington) and the late John W. Forti of Medford.
Mary-Ellen was a lifelong Medford resident and a1979 graduate of Medford High School. She was employed as an assistant manager in the restaurant industry. For many years she worked at the Courtside Sports Pub in Cambridge. Mary-Ellen was a sweet and loving person who made friends wherever she went. In her spare time she loved to work in her garden. But above all, being a loving daughter, wife and mother was her greatest joy in life.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and wonderful memories that will never be forgotten. Although she left us much too soon the impact of Mary-Ellen’s life will live on. Please spread some joy and kindness in her memory.
Mary-Ellen was the devoted mother of James and Austin Rodrigues of Medford. She was the dear sister of James Forti and his wife Cynthia of NH. and FL. and John J. Forti and his wife Janet of Atkinson, NH. Mary-Ellen was the loving daughter-in-law of the late Maria and Manuel Rodrigues Sr.
At the request of the family, funeral services will be private.
