LIMINGTON- Charlotte Ellen Dufresne, 80, of Limington, passed away at home on July 25, 2026.
Predeceased by her mother Irene Chamberlain, father Marshall Watson, and nephew Marshall Cudebec, Charlotte is survived by her two children Gabrielle Dufresne and Didi Dufresne and partner Jennie Woo, her younger sister and brother-in-law Linda and Sam Caswell, nephew Dewey Rambo and partner Dawn Hensel, older sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Fraser Brimley, nieces Tami Morgan and Joyce Kjos.
Throughout her life Charlotte held various jobs as a bookkeeper, substitute teacher, and insurance adjuster. However, her true calling was to be of service to the community. She volunteered with the town of Limington counting ballots and with the Limington Ladies Auxiliary throughout the 80’s and 90’s. Later, she served on the SAD#6 school board.
Charlotte will be remembered for her open heart, generous spirit, and fierce pragmatism. During the last years of her life, Charlotte continued to care for others by baking and delivering pies, cookies, and muffins to friends and neighbors. In addition to baking, Charlotte enjoyed gardening, knitting, rug hooking, embroidery, really any fiber arts. She would never let a kindness go unreturned and was effortlessly thoughtful to those around her. She will be dearly missed by family and friends alike.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an educational charity, a pie baked for a neighbor, or an act of goodwill extended to any in need. There will be a celebration of life at a future date.
