Joan M. Foley, of Derry, NH passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday July 22, 2026 at the age of 95. She was born on December 30, 1930 in Lawrence, MA.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, Philip with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her children, Thomas and Phyllis.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her children, Tim Foley, Michael Foley and his wife, Christine, Dan Foley and his wife, Dyana, and Judy O'Neil and her husband Tom. Joan also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her love, kindness and gentle spirit will continue to live on through them.
Joan will be remembered for her warmth, generosity and unwavering hospitality. She was the kind of person who always had a warm cup of tea, always offering something to eat, or a sweet treat from the ever-present stash of candy in her purse.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 29th at 10:00am at St. Peters Church, 567 Manchester Rd., Auburn, NH. Her burial will follow at 12:00pm in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 DW Highway, Boscawen. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
