Christie Doris Vance, 70, of Atlanta, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026, at her home.
A memorial service to honor and remember Christie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on August 1, 2026, at Tifton’s First Methodist Chapel, with the Rev. Chip Grantham officiating. She will be laid to rest at Fletcher Cemetery in Alapaha.
Born April 12, 1956, in Tifton, Christie was the daughter of Christie G Vance of Tifton and the late William Ernest “Bill” Vance.
In addition to her mother, Christie is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Georgia Hamilton, and son-in-law, Anthony Raulerson; her two grandchildren, Noel and Leo; her stepdaughter, Danielle Hamilton-Rodriguez; her stepson, Danny Hamilton Jr.; and Danny Hamilton, Sr.
She is also loved by her siblings, Vikki Vance, Bill Vance Jr., Tracy Vance, and Wycliffe Vance, all of Tifton, and Harding Vance and his wife, Carol, of Oxford, Florida; as well as her nieces and nephews, Katie Crowley, Peter Crowley and his wife Camile, Maggie Crowley Sheenan and her husband Connor, Will Vance and his wife Jenna, Adam and Jessie Vance, Ross Vance and his wife Anna, and Wyc and Sam Vance. Christie was also loved by her great-nieces and great-nephews, Caroline and Connor Crowley; Georgia, Emma and Stella Sheenan; and Baker and Whitaker Vance.
Those who knew Christie will remember her beautiful spirit, her laughter, and her unconditional love for her family and friends.
