Obituary

Robert F. Lembo, 85, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at a rehab facility in MA.

Born in Boston on November 28, 1940, he was the son of the late Gennaro Lembo and the late Adeline (Sforza) Lembo. Bob was raised and educated in Boston, and after high school he attended trade school for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, a trade that would become his life's work. He went on to own and operate his own HVAC business. In 1971, Bob and his family made their home in Tewksbury, where he remained for more than fifty years.

Bob was the beloved husband of the late Linda G. (DiPirro) Lembo, who passed away in 2018 after 52 wonderful years of marriage.

An active man who loved the outdoors, Bob was an excellent golfer who could be found on the course every weekend he could manage. His passion for the game ran so deep that he crafted his own custom clubs, both for himself and for others. He was also an avid tennis player, often enjoying matches at Meadowbrook. He was an excellent cook and could whip up an amazing stir fry or an Italian feast when the mood struck him.

Bob had a great love of music, from the sound of bagpipes to the songs of John Prine, Leon Redbone, and Il Volo. A skilled and enthusiastic card player, he enjoyed hosting poker games and traveling to play with friends near and far.

Bob is survived by his four children, Roberta Madison and her husband Anthony Aceto of Sandown, NH, Paula Henderson and her husband Mark of Cape Neddick, Maine, Laura Lembo of Wareham, MA and Jon Lembo of Ossipee, NH; his four grandchildren, Vincent Leone of Acushnet, Dominic Leone of New Bedford, Niccolo Lembo-Volpe of Wareham, and Brooke McCain of Bedford, NH; and his beloved sister, Ann Leskiw of Lynnfield. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael J. Lembo.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
