Gertrud “Trudy” Mirick (Rieger), age 86, of Ventura California, passed away on July 7, 2026. Gertrud was born in Schwabisch Hall, Germany, to Friederg and Kathrina Rieger on May 28, 1940. She earned her US Citizenship on February 29, 1972. She was an avid bowler and loved to read.
Trudy is survived by her son, Marvin (Gena) Mirick; one grandson, Jordan (Krissy) Mirick; 2 granddaughters: Rachel Anderson and Jackelyn Chism; as well as 3 great-grandchildren; Zoey, Jaxton, and Mila Mirick.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Mirick. They were married on December 11, 1959, and were married for 56 years. She is also preceded in death by her son Wade Mirick. Wade was a navy veteran and taught English in Japan, he passed in 2021.
A Private Celebration of Life is to be held on August 8, 2026 at 3:00pm at the Serra Cross in Ventura.
