Jean Emmanuel Dorceus (80) of Brockton passed away peacefully at home under hospice care on July 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Dezilia Merisema.
Born in Léogâne, Haiti, he was the son of the late Robert Dorceus and Oraide Meille. Jean was a businessman by trade and a devoted member of Redemption Baptist Church in Quincy. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he was deeply committed to his church, the study of the Bible, and serving the Lord. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching soccer and playing Lido with family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, Jean is survived by his three sons, Robermann Dorceus, Joseph Saul Dorceus and Gamaliel Dorceus; his two daughters, Gerda Dorceus and Marjorie Dorceus Leon; his sister, Ifeta Dorceus; and his twelve cherished grandchildren. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held in the Central Baptist Church, 67 Washington Street, Quincy on Saturday, July 25, at 8 am. Funeral Services to start at 9 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 163 N Cary Street, Brockton.
