Barbara Lee ("Barbe") (Case) Roberts, 73, of Ventura, CA went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2026.
Barbe was born in Redlands, California to the late Henry Orlando Case and late Doreen Helen (Post) Case on March 4, 1953.Barbe graduated from San Luis Obispo High School in 1971, and attended Snyder Business School in Santa Barbara, California. She married Darryl Jay Roberts on Dec. 14, 1974, and they lived together in Santa Barbara, CA for twelve years before relocating to Ventura, CA.
After business school, Barbe worked for Thompson-Fauskee Ford in Santa Barbara as head cashier and later for Excel-Mineral Company (makers of Jonny Cat Litter) in Goleta as a receptionist and marketing assistant. She loved cats, and at one point, had three. After Excel-Mineral closed, she joined her husband's Information Technology services company as the office manager and bookkeeper.
Barbe helped organize the Lupus support group in Ventura and, while she was still able, enjoyed writing a newsletter educating group members about Lupus and Antiphospholipid Syndrome. Barbe served as a deaconess for several years at Ventura Missionary Church, where she enjoyed using her talent of hospitality to coordinate food for memorial services. She was a member of the Auxiliary of The Gideons International and supported her husband in that ministry.
She died suddenly in the hospital with her husband at her side from the effects of Antiphospholipid Syndrome and Lupus. She had been trapped in a body that she could barely move and being barely able to speak for nine years as the result of a stroke.
Barbe is survived by her husband of 50 years, Darryl, brother Brian H. Case of Palm Desert, and nephews Justin Case of Albuquerque, N.M. and Jacob Case of Albuquerque, N.M. She was preceded in death by her brother Michael Case of Albuquerque, N.M.

The family wished to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers, home health workers, paramedics, doctors, nurses, family, and friends who have supported us during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Neal Benson officiating at Coastline Bible Church, 426 S. Mills Rd., Ventura, CA. A private burial at sea will be done off the coast of Ventura.
