Arnold Nelson Eisnor
Born in Easton MA on September 19,1942 and died in Taunton MA on July 17,2026. The fifth of seven children born to Violet Mae (Munroe) and Ellis Duane Eisnor, he attended Norton public schools, lived most of his life in Norton and Attleboro. He was employed by Fernandes super markets and Tedeschi markets as a meat cutter/manager and among other adventures was proprietor of the Norton Country Store
Arnie’s trade might have been cutting meat but his passion was tinkering in his garage. He helped many out of tough spots with his creative expertise. He could fix just about anything with wire and duct tape. When assembling something new he never used the directions and always had “extra parts”. He couldn’t help but pass on a good joke, limerick or pun (the more appropriate the better) and a fart machine was never far away. He loved donuts, hamburgers, coke and coffee frappes. Even more he loved old cars, old dogs and his old friends. He never met a stranger and never had an enemy.
Some of his favorite times were spent hearing stories about his grandchildren's accomplishments, rebuilding MGs in the garage with Missy and camping with Amy in New Hampshire, an annual trip for more than 30 years. The Moose Festival won’t be the same without him. For him, nothing was better than saving some “treasure” from the junk yard, which also happened to be his favorite “boutique” shopping spot (a gift certificate there for his birthday one year was the best present he ever received). And when he wasn’t at the coffee shop or the auto parts store, he was probably “perfecting” his (‘55,’56) ‘57 Ford/Chevy hotrod T-bird. She was a true labor of love and he was a true one of a kind who will be missed by many.
Arnie was predeceased by his wife, Marcia (McCracken); his parents; his brothers, David, Donald, Alfred Eisnor and sister Elaine Haggerty.
He leaves behind his children, Melissa(David) Teixeira and Amy (Mark)Hudson; grandchildren, Jakob, Madeline(Joe), and Owen; his brother Duane Eisnor, sister Janet Yelle; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, especially Charles RIchard “Dickie” Nason and his wife Terry; and Joanne Horton Eisnor and her family.

A celebration of Arnie’s life will be held at the Norton Historic Society 18 West Main St. Norton MA on September 27 from 1-3 pm for all who would like to attend. Please wear your best flannel and arrive in your finest ride.
