A Life Well Lived
Jean A. Rejoui was born in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, to Augustin Louis and Lamercie Adan-Rejoui. From an early age, he valued education and attended Damien Elementary School. Although financial hardship prevented him from completing his studies as a child, his determination never faded. As an adult, he returned to school to finish his elementary education, proving that perseverance and hope can overcome life's obstacles.
Blessed with an entrepreneurial spirit, Jean owned a transportation company called Patriash and was also involved in commerce. He worked tirelessly, always striving to build a better future. His greatest ambition was not for personal success, but to create opportunities for the family he loved so dearly.
In 1973, Jean met the love of his life, Rose Marie Lafleur-Magloire. They were united in marriage in 1975 and built a life together centered on love, faith, and unwavering commitment to one another and their family.
In 1982, Jean made the difficult decision to leave Haiti and immigrate alone to Boston, Massachusetts, in pursuit of a brighter future. Though the separation from his loved ones was painful, every sacrifice was made with one purpose—to reunite his family and provide them with greater opportunities. For more than twenty years, he faithfully worked as a dishwasher at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Through quiet strength, hard work, and perseverance, he fulfilled his dream of bringing his family to the United States and giving them the life he had long envisioned.
Jean will always be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend. His generosity knew no limits, his humility inspired all who knew him, and his impeccable style and warm smile brought joy wherever he went. His greatest accomplishment was measured not by material success, but by the love he gave, the sacrifices he made, and the family he cherished above all else.
Today, Jean leaves behind his beloved wife, Rose Marie Rejoui; his children, Rubens Joseph Rejoui, Marie Lafleur J Rejoui- Cadelus, Cassandre J Rejoui-Dorile, Stephanie Joseph Rejoui, and his son from a previous relationship, Arold Rejoui. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Alexander Cadelus, Sagine Cadelus, Marsha Syverain, Isabella Thevenin, and Auriel Joseph Rejoui, along with many relatives, friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever enriched by his kindness and love.
Though our hearts are filled with sorrow, they are also filled with gratitude for the remarkable life Jean lived. His legacy of faith, perseverance, sacrifice, and unconditional love will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.

Visitation at the Temple Salem Seventh-day Adventist Church, 222 Woodrow Avenue, Dorchester on Sunday, July 19, from 9-10am followed by a funeral service beginning at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, 670 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA 02132.
