Chicopee - Anna G. (Lamanna) Ladeau, 97, was called home to her Heavenly Father on July 16, 2026. Anna passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Anna was born on September 11, 1928, in Northampton, Massachusetts. She spent her childhood and much of her adult life there until she met the love of her life, George Ladeau Jr. Anna and George were married in 1950 and shared over 70 wonderful years together until George's passing in 2021.
Anna is predeceased by her mother, Mary (Cacolice) Lamanna, and her father, Joseph Lamanna Sr., her beloved son, Kenneth Ladeau, who passed away in 1991, and her two cherished sisters, Josephina Guiel and Camilla Travers. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Lamanna Jr., of Northampton.
Anna leaves behind her daughter, Jolene Peloquin and her husband, Rene, of Chicopee, and her son, George Ladeau III and his wife, Mary, of Granby.
Anna was a caring and devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren: Sara and her husband, Thomas, of Slingerlands, New York; Heather and her husband, Tony, of Westfield; Lisa and her husband, Mark, of Longmeadow; Kevin, who lovingly served as Anna's caregiver for the past five years; Michael and his wife, Jacqueline, of Enfield, CT; and Andrew, Haley, Hillary, and Nicole, all of Granby.
She was also a proud and loving great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren: Zoey, Brody, Conor, Logan, Kyleigh, Theodore, Mason, Evelyn, and Aidan. She cherished every visit with them and treasured the joy they brought into her life.
Anna was a devoted homemaker and later worked for the City of Chicopee, where she retired as a data processing clerk.
Anna and her late husband loved to travel and considered themselves world travelers. They often reminisced about the many countries they visited and the memories they made together. Among her favorite destinations was London, a place she held especially dear. She was a proud golfer and avid bowler where she held many awards.
She proudly embraced her Sicilian heritage and passed her treasured traditions on to her family. She made sure those traditions were honored every year, especially through her infamous Christmas Eve braciole. Anna loved hosting holidays and family gatherings, always ensuring everyone felt welcomed, loved, and well cared for.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee.
