Carolyn Spivey Harrell, 78, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Glen Fussell officiating. Ms. Harrell will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Ms. Harrell’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born February 26, 1948, in Douglas, Ms. Harrell was the daughter of the late J. C. Spivey and Wilma Carver Spivey. Before retiring, she was the lunchroom supervisor at G. O. Bailey Elementary School as well as being a caregiver. She had a deep love for her family, especially her grandkids. She was a happy person and loved to be stylish, and she was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. Harrell is survived by one son, Ashley Kerr Harrell of Ambrose; one daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Tommy Scarberry of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Renee Spivey of Wray; two sisters, Brenda Spivey Hutchinson of Douglas and Shirley Spivey Wade of Ambrose; and five grandchildren, Sierra Scarberry, Kaleb Schramm, Ashleigh Harrell, Addi Harrell and Kase Harrell.
