Anne was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, to her loving parents, Henry and Alice Brodeur. She graduated from Millbury High School and made her home in Boylston, Massachusetts where she spent many happy years raising her children and sharing life’s special moments with family and friends. She also went on to build a successful and rewarding professional career. Anne dedicated many years of service to Neles-Jamesbury in Worcester and later concluded her career with Coldwell Banker in Westborough.
Anne was widely known for her quick wit, vibrant sense of humor, and a carefree approach to life that kept those around her constantly laughing. An adventurous spirit at heart, she loved seeing the world and especially treasured her travels throughout Europe. Whether exploring a new international destination, going for a hike, or spending a day at the beach, she was always ready for an adventure. One of her absolute favorite places was Misquamicut Beach in Rhode Island, and in her younger years, she was an avid ice skater and skier. A passionate photographer, Anne rarely went anywhere without a camera nearby, always ready to capture a special moment. She also never passed up the chance to enjoy a banana split, one of her favorite life treats.
Above all, Anne was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and partner who took immense pride in her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Alice Brodeur, and her brother, Paul Brodeur.
She leaves behind her longtime partner, Reinoltd T. Tofer, with whom she shared nearly twenty years of love and companionship in Vermont. She is survived by her children: her son, Mark Mitchell and his partner, Maria Denn; her daughters, Susan Mitchell and Sandra Pacek; her cherished grandchildren, Sarah Murphy and her husband, Robert, Sean Mitchell, Nicholas Geneva, and Joseph Pacek. She is also survived by her siblings: her brother, Dr. Richard Brodeur and his wife, Linda, and her brother, Robert Brodeur and his wife, Linda; her sister, Louise Bowlby; and several beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Her independence, humor, and adventurous soul will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
