LIMERICK- Marie B. Oliver, 92, passed away in Scarborough on July 14, 2026.
Marie was born on June 14, 1934, the daughter of Harley Sprague and Elizabeth Huard.
She graduated from Limerick High School, class of 1952.
On July 4, 1952, Marie married Richard Oliver and raised three sons in Limerick.
Marie worked for General Electric in the old mill building and later in the shoe shops that followed in the same building. She was also employed by Sprague Electric in Sanford. After retirement Marie worked as a home health care support person.
Marie enjoyed gardening - mostly flowers, cooking and feeding people. If you visited her, you were obligated to eat. Nothing would give her more pleasure than a visit from her grandchildren or great grandchildren.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Richard, who passed away in 2014. Marie is survived by her sons - Stephen Oliver and wife Sharon of Waterboro, Randy Oliver and wife Kimberly of Limerick, Timothy Oliver and wife Donna of Ripin, Wisconsin: 7 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
A memorial service to celebrate Marie’s life will be held on Sunday July 19th at 2 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 125 Sokokis Trail (Rt. 5) East Waterboro. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Annex Cemetery in Limerick.
