Sadly, we announce Alice Torlano, age 93, of Oxnard, CA, a longtime resident of 64 years, passed away peacefully due to an aneurysm on February 6, 2026 at St. John's Hospital with family by her side. Her loving, elegant, fun and humorous spirit will be deeply missed by a large circle of family and friends. She was truly a remarkable person who had a way of making everyone she met feel special. Alice was born in Yerington, Nevada. In her younger years, she worked in civil service, and in her later years, she liked to say her occupation was "a domestic engineer". She will be remembered for her fabulous Italian cooking and hospitality. Alice enjoyed serving as a community volunteer with numerous organizations. She also enjoyed music, playing her piano, traveling, visiting family and friends, attending her high school reunions in Hawthorne, Nevada and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private interment was held at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park on June 29, 2026. A memorial mass and reception in honor of Alice will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation or a favorite charity. Daughter Debbie and grandson Todd wish to extend their gratitude to Mission Home Health and Livingston Memorial Caregivers for their loving support, also to St John's Hospital CCU unit in Oxnard.
