BUXTON- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Brandon Dale Bennett, 42, of Buxton, Maine, who lost his life on Sunday, July 12, 2026, as the result of a tragic motorcycle accident.
Born on September 4, 1983, in Lancaster, New Hampshire, Brandon was the beloved son of Darryl and Anne Bennett. He grew up in northern New Hampshire, graduating from Gorham High School with the Class of 2002 before earning his degree in Radiologic Technology from Southern Maine Community College in 2004.
Brandon dedicated his career to caring for others as a Radiologic Technologist. He worked at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, New Hampshire, Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine, and most recently at InterMed in South Portland, where his compassion, professionalism, and kindness left a lasting impression on both his patients and coworkers.
His greatest joy and purpose in life were found in his family. On August 16, 2008, he married the love of his life, Amanda (Goodness) Bennett. Together they built a life filled with laughter, unwavering love, and countless cherished memories. Brandon was a devoted husband and an extraordinary father to his daughters, Arabella and Amelia, who were the center of his world. Every decision he made and every dream he pursued was rooted in the love he had for his wife and children. Whether cheering on his girls, making memories at home, or simply enjoying time together, Brandon treasured every moment spent with his family.
Brandon had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, valued, and at home. To him, family extended far beyond blood relations, and he was fortunate to share lifelong friendships with people who became family in every sense of the word. He believed life's greatest moments were those spent together—with loved ones gathered around the grill, where many knew him by his nickname, "Flip," sharing stories and laughter around the campfire, or simply enjoying each other's company while creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Music was woven into Brandon's heart from an early age. He picked up the guitar at just 10 years old, beginning a lifelong passion that brought him immense joy. During high school, he and his friends formed a band called Down Side, creating lasting memories through the music they loved. Whether playing guitar, listening to his favorite songs, or attending concerts with friends, Brandon found joy in bringing people together through one of his greatest passions. His love of music was something he passed on to his daughters, and he took immense pride in encouraging their own musical interests. His love of music, much like his love for family, was constant and genuine.
Brandon had a lifelong love of sports. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball, but it was on the soccer field where he found his true passion. He proudly wore #18 throughout his years at Gorham High School and celebrated a State Championship win in his freshman year. His love of sports continued into adulthood with him being a die hard football fan who could always be found yelling or cheering for his beloved Green Bay Packers.
Brandon also embraced life's adventures. He enjoyed snowmachining, snowboarding, and spending time outdoors, but no hobby ever meant more to him than simply being surrounded by the people he loved most. His infectious smile, unforgettable hugs, generous spirit, quick wit, and remarkable ability to bring people together will be remembered and cherished by everyone fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
In addition to his wife, Amanda, and daughters, Arabella and Amelia, Brandon is lovingly survived by his parents, Darryl and Anne Bennett of Shelburne, New Hampshire; his brother, Cameron Bennett and his wife, Tara, of Greenville, Texas; his in-laws, Jeff and Dawn Goodness of Clifton, Maine; his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Goodness and his wife, Carrie, of Standish, Maine, and their four children. He also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless dear friends who were truly like family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Thursday, July 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road, Buxton, Maine. Burial will be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations at a later date to support the local music program in which Brandon's daughters participate—a tribute that beautifully reflects Brandon's enduring love of music, his unwavering devotion to his children, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
Though Brandon's time here was far too short, the love he gave so freely, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
