
Helene M. (Chaush) Mantini, of Medford, passed away on Saturday, July 11th. She was 96. Born in Biddeford, Maine, she was the cherished daughter of the late Myrteza and Rhea (Potvin) Chaush.
Helene owned the Tino’s Variety Market on Fulton St., in Medford. She was loved by the community and established lifelong friendships throughout the years. Helene was a beautiful woman on the inside and out. She was a natural fashionista and was always dressed to the nines.
Helene was an amazing cook, and all of her Italian delicacies were made from scratch. She was famous for her meatballs, tomato sauce, homemade pasta and shrimp scampi. Helene will be greatly missed by all.
She was the beloved wife of the late Augostino “Tino” Mantini, and the devoted mother of John Marshall, Jr. She was the dear sister of the late Barney McCallum, and the loving aunt of Caryl Harkins, Sandra McCallum, Mark McCallum and Valerie Desrochers.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Monday, July 20th from 9 to 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with entombment on Tuesday, July 21st at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 293 Beach St., Sacco, ME at 10 AM. (Please meet at the cemetery gate).
