
Carl Nathaniel Shuster, III, 79, passed away on July 7, 2026, in Providence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Carl N. Shuster, Jr. and Helen (Irwin) Shuster.
Carl worked for many years as a skilled welder, taking great pride in his craftsmanship and strong work ethic. A man of many talents and interests, he had an extraordinary ability to build and create. Over the years, he designed and constructed an impressive variety of projects, including houses, guitars, lobster boats, and trucks, always enjoying the challenge of bringing an idea to life with his own hands.
Outside of his work, Carl embraced life with enthusiasm. He was an avid Competitive Masters rower, including winning the Head of the Charles Regatta twice. He also had a passion for music, enjoying karaoke and singing country and western songs for family and friends.
Carl is survived by his brothers, George Shuster and his wife, Susan, Ken Shuster and his wife, Julie, Chris Shuster and his wife, Barbara, and Forrest Shuster. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Jennifer Mann, George Shuster, Jr., Katharine Correll, David Shuster, Steven Shuster and Alexander Shuster and step-niece Nicole Almonte.
