
Judeth “Judy” DeCristofaro, née Brennan, 72, of West Roxbury, MA, originally from South Boston, MA, passed away in her home on July 9, 2026, in West Roxbury.
Judeth was born on October 19, 1953, in Boston to the late John and Margaret Brennan. She attended St. Augustine’s School and Cardinal Cushing High School in South Boston, and graduated from the Department of Health and Hospitals School of Practical Nursing as a licensed practical nurse in 1974. She worked as a clinical nurse and manager in community health centers in South Boston and later would work for many years for the MA Department of Public Health.
Judeth is survived by her daughter, Carmen DeCristofaro, her brother Larry Brennan, her sister-in-law Elizabeth Brennan, and her nieces Siobhan and Sinead Brennan. She was preceded in death by her husband Carmine “Michael” DeCristofaro and her brother John “Jack” Brennan. She was expecting her first grandchild by Carmen due in September 2026 and was excited to become a grandmother.
Judeth will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family, especially her daughter, and her care for her friends. She will also be remembered for her sense of humor and curiosity, her eye for interior design, her green thumb, her collection of fabulous shoes, her love of quality leather handbags, her fascination with true crime, her support of the Boston Public Library, and her obsession with pistachios.
Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from 4-8 pm at Gormley Funeral Home, located at 2055 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132.
