
Christopher Benoit passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on July 5th as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was 37. Raised in Medford, he was the son Marion (McCarron) Benoit and the late Gary Benoit.
Chris was a hardworking man who was dedicated to his family. As a proud member of Laborers Local 560, he worked at many significant construction projects in the region. With his characteristic dry wit and sense of humor, Chris was a great guy to be with and was a man of many interests and passions. He enjoyed boxing in his younger years as well as riding dirt bikes and caring for his car. He was passionate about his motorcycle and found connection, peace, and happiness in the ride. Above all, Chris was a great dad. He was passionate about his son and Chris excelled as a single dad. He also loved time with the rest of his family, especially his mom and brothers. He’ll always be remembered for his strength, commitment and love.
Chris was the devoted son of Marion (McCarron) Benoit and the late Gary Benoit. He was a loving father to Christopher Benoit, Jr. and the late Skyla Marion Benoit. Chris is predeceased by the mother of Baby Chris, Jr., Lauren Barry. He was the proud brother of Doug Bergeron, Michael Bulger and the late Jesse Breon. He was a dear uncle to Anthony Bergeron. Chris is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and his girlfriend Jen Moore who brought brightness back into his life.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, at 10 AM on Monday morning, July 13th. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, July 12th from 4 – 8 PM.
