He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Danna Smith.
Cam was a man whose life was defined by hard work, unwavering devotion to his family, and a genuine love for the people around him. He spent 35 years building a career at PowerSouth Energy Cooperative that he truly enjoyed and took great pride in. Through his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic, he earned the respect and admiration of coworkers and friends, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working alongside him
Outside of work, Cam found joy in the outdoors. He was an avid turkey hunter, deer hunter, fisherman, and golfer who cherished every opportunity to spend time in the woods, on the water, or on the golf course.
While he enjoyed many passions, nothing meant more to Cam than his family. He was a devoted father to his children, Julia, Paulk, and Camryn, and a proud grandfather to his beloved grandson, Jack. He never missed a chance to support them, whether it was attending sporting events, celebrating milestones, offering encouragement, or simply being present when they needed him most.
Above all, Cam loved the Lord, and his faith was a guiding presence throughout his life. His faith shaped the way he lived and the way he loved others.
Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, his legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the friendships he built, and the values he instilled in those around him. We will forever remember his strength, his love, his laughter, and the countless memories he gave us.
To know Cam was to love him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed and forever loved.
