Elaine M. “Elaina” (Grava) Ciaburri, who recently resided at Sunrise of Lynnfield with her late husband, Francis “Franny” Ciaburri, formerly of Stoneham passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 4th. She was 85. Born and raised in Everett, she was the cherished daughter of the late Ralph and Maria (Accettullo) Grava.
Elaine had a kind disposition and a heart full of love and compassion. She was a natural people person who loved everyone, which made her home the most inviting in the neighborhood. Frank and Elaine raised their family in Medford. Elaine enjoyed her house full of her children’s friends and her family. She always had them over for pool parties and Sunday dinners.
Elaine loved to travel with her family up to Maine and vacation in Martha’s Vineyard to celebrate her favorite holiday, July 4th. She enjoyed relaxing on her porch, dancing the night away with Franny and going out shopping. Elaine’s family were her pride and joy, they were her world. She enjoyed spending time with her children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all.
Elaine was the beloved wife of her high school sweetheart of 64 years, the late Francis Ciaburri. She was the devoted mother of Camille Pipitone and her husband John, Sharon Ciaburri - Viveiros and her husband Anthony, and Steven Ciaburri. She was the loving Nana of Darren Pipitone and his husband Martin, Jenna Pipitone, Alana Ferrara and her husband Michael, Christina Paris and her husband Christopher, and Stephanie Ciaburri. She was the caring Great Nana of Colton Pipitone, Isabelle and Christian Ferrara, Alexis, Ava, Christopher Jr., and Aubrey Paris. She was the dear sister of Richard Grava and Peter Grava. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit with Elaine’s family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Wednesday, July 8th, from 4 to 7 PM and again on Thursday, July 9th at 9AM before leaving for a funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
