With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Bazeline Louis Charles, who was born on December 22, 1934, and peacefully entered eternal rest at 12:00 noon on June 29, 2026, at the age of 91. She was surrounded by her loving daughter and grandchildren, a reflection of the love and family she cherished throughout her life.

Bazeline was the heart of our family. She was a woman of unwavering faith who loved the Lord with all her heart. No matter what was happening around her, she never missed her noon prayer and found peace and strength in reading her Bible each day. Prayer wasn’t just something she did, it was how she cared for the people she loved. She faithfully lifted her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and even strangers up to God in prayer.

She had a gentle, giving spirit and was always looking for ways to care for others. Whether she was offering a warm meal, a listening ear, words of encouragement, or simply her presence, she made everyone feel welcomed, loved, and cared for.

Some of the sweetest memories her family will always hold close are the times spent in her kitchen, where she happily made her famous crispy fried potatoes for her great-grandchildren. It wasn’t just the food they loved, it was the love she put into every meal and every moment spent together.

Bazeline’s life was a beautiful example of faith, kindness, compassion, and selfless love. She taught us the importance of trusting God, caring for one another, and keeping family close. Her love, her prayers, and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on in all of us.

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served for so many years. She will be deeply loved, forever missed, and always remembered.

A brief visitation will be held at the Sion Seventh-Day Adventist Church 30 Temple St. Somerville on Monday, July 6th from 10:00-10:30am, followed by a service in the church beginning at 10:30am. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
