Cremonni, Cynthia West age 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Tenants harbor, ME on June 20, 2026.
Cynthia was born to Harold West and Helen (MacKenzie) West on November 5, 1937 in Boston, MA. Cynthia and her older brother, David, lived in Norwood, MA and then moved to Wellesely, MA where she attended middle and high school. Cindy met her high school sweetheart when she was a sophomore at Wellesely High School, dated and eventually married Robert (Bob) Cremonni, the captain of the high school football team. Cindy moved from state to state (13), following Bob’s career at The DuPont Company, and eventually settled in Tenants Harbor, Maine upon Bob’s retirement.
Cindy was full of energy, always busy juggling caring for two children, wallpapering and painting each new home (13) and working in many different positions with each move, some of which were; working at Filene’s Department Store in Wellesley, as a receptionist at a law firm in Philadelphia, as an advertising model for Ohio Savings Association, making arrangements as florist in Michigan, taking painting lessons, working in a museum as a tour guide in Delaware, volunteering at church, and always playing tennis, quilting and knitting. When Cindy and Bob moved to Maine, mom opened and ran an antique store in the barn attached to the back of the house for many years. Cindy enjoyed being on the water in sailboats, motor boats, rafts and kayaks, loved planting floral gardens, and always surrounding herself with friends and family for dinners out on the back deck. Mom dedicated her life to her family, always there with a listening ear, and a can do attitude. Mom will always be remembered for her humor, warmth, generosity, strength and devotion.
Cindy is survived by her two children; Matthew and Helen, their spouses; Stacey and Bill, her grandchildren; Matthew Robert (wife Tiffany), Michael, Katie and Sarah, and great grandchildren; Matthew Peter and Lily.
A memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellesley at a future date, to be determined.
