GORHAM - Stephen Harold Jackson, 70, passed away due to failing health and complications
with cancer on June 30, 2026.
He is the son of the late Maxwell and Shirley (Lloyd) Jackson of Portland.
Stephen is well remembered for being a true "Saints" fan, his love of music, (extreme "Beatles"
fan), watching "old" movies including "the Duke", enjoyed reading many books, and the special
times he had with his late dog, "Magic", and current fur baby. "Baylee Rose".
Stephen graduated from Deering High School, in Portland. Over the years Stephen was employed
as a delivery driver working for many companies including, Amato's Delivery, Tartan Textiles, DHL
& CDS. His most recent employment was with the Botto's Bakery located in Portland. He
especially enjoyed working with all the staff there and the Mathew's family.
He is predeceased by his parents, Maxwell and Shirley Jackson of Portland, his brother Rick
Jackson of Las Vegas, NV and sister, Joanie Pease of Wilton.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Susan Huff (Jackson) of Gorham, along with his children, son James
Jackson of South Portland, daughter Melissa Jackson of Portland, his brother, Joseph Jackson and
his wife Linda of Augusta, and sister, Carole Mosher and her husband, Nye of Wilton. Also, his
stepchildren, Dan Gillis and his wife Katie of Monticello, and Kristin Hupper and her husband, Travis
of Jay. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
A memorial service to celebrate Stephen's life will be held on Saturday July 18th at 2 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Burial will be private at White Rock Cemetery in Gorham.
