Amy Marie Hurley, 49, of Oxnard, California, passed away on June 25, 2026, at 8:13 p.m.
Amy was born in Elkhart, Indiana, to Donna Hurlburt and Don Hurley. She spent the past 20 years living in Oxnard, California, a place she truly loved. Amy had an adventurous spirit and an outgoing personality that drew people to her. She had a laugh that could brighten any room and a presence that was impossible to ignore.
Amy loved looking and feeling her best, often spending hours doing her makeup and taking pride in her appearance. She enjoyed shopping and believed in being pampered “like a lady should always be,” as she would say. She also had a passion for lively debates with family, friends, and anyone willing to engage—she loved a good conversation and never backed down from sharing her perspective.
Life was not always easy for Amy, but she carried herself with strength and always tried to see the good in every situation. Her resilience, beauty, and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Donna Hurlburt; her siblings, Tommy Hurley and Christina Hurley; her children, Jamell Hurley (California), Jaqylie Bryant (Michigan), Jacuwan Bryant (Indiana), Jaheim Bryant (Indiana), and baby girl Abiigal Bryant (Virginia); and her six grandchildren, Alondra (8), Ahzylea (6), Kemoni (5), DeQiro (5), Qyairre (4), and JaCuwa (1).
Amy will be remembered as a beautiful, strong, and outgoing woman whose laughter was contagious and whose spirit could light up any room. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
