Maria (Samaria) Barchard, 78, of Tewksbury passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 28th, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Albert P. Barchard. Daughter of the late Anna and Saverio Samaria and sister of the late Donald Samaria.
A loving and devoted mother, she is survived by her daughter, Angela Polcaro and her husband Steven of Tewksbury, and her son, Albert Barchard, of Tewksbury. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Samantha, Shawn, and Kayla, who brought her immeasurable joy.
She is also survived by her siblings:
Camille Michals and her late husband Peter, of Tewksbury; Anthony Samaria and his wife, Kathy, of Medford; Richard Samaria and his wife, Nancy, of Waltham; and Geraldine Schultz and her husband, Bruce, of Georgia, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the memories she gave us and the love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Calling hours are Thursday, July 2nd, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at Tewksbury Cemetery 172 East Street, Tewksbury.
