Ethel M. (Peterson) Kelley, 93, died Tuesday in the Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Brockton, after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Martin F. Kelley.
Born and brought up in Whitman, daughter of the late Leon and Grace (Stinchfield) Peterson, she was a graduate of Whitman High class of 1931, also attended Brockton Business College.
She was a Whitman resident for many years before moving to Taunton a short while
ago.
In her earlier years, she worked as a payroll clerk for the United Last Company, Brockton.
Ethel was a member of the First Congregational Church of Whitman, former President and Vice President of Stetson Terrace Assoc. of Whitman.
She enjoyed bingo and loved to do crosswords puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter Alice Kelley of Taunton, her sister Gladys Levangie of Whitman, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was sister of the late Marion Oliver, Ruth Coonan and Leon Peterson
A memorial service will be held Saturday September 23rd at 1:00 P.M. in Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman.Private burial will be at a later date. Donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc.,20 Speen Street.Framingham,MA. 01701
