
JIMENEZ, Martha A. (Alvarez Vargas) “Victoria” Longtime resident of Boston, formerly of Mao, Dominican Republic, passed away on June 25, 2026. Wife of Emilio Jimenez. Devoted mother of Emily Jimenez and her husband Oji Scurry, Emilio Jimenez, Martha Jimenez Jr., Denise Jimenez, and Daniel Jimenez. Loving Abuela of Mimi, Jr., Eva, Milo, Jaziah, Luz, Jax, Shyienah, M.J., Mila (on the way). Dear Hermana of Nery, Irene, Rosaly, Victor, and the late Daniel De Jesus, and Julian. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Martha “Victoria” was the definition of selflessness, always placing the needs of others before her own while standing firmly in strength and faith. Whether someone needed a listening ear, a warm home cooked meal, wise advice, or a helping hand, she was there without hesitation. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of friends, neighbors, and her community in countless ways. To her children and loved ones, she was a constant source of strength a true superwoman whose unwavering faith carried her through every season of life.
Her wisdom was remarkable, her determination unshakable, and her heart immeasurably generous. She faced every challenge with grace, resilience, and quiet strength. Wherever she went, she carried herself with a crown of faith, a heart of gold, and a radiant smile that brought comfort, hope, and light to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy is one of unconditional love, compassion, service, and unwavering devotion to others. Her impact will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of all those she so beautifully touched.
A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 14 Montebello Rd, Jamaica Plain on Wednesday, July 1st from 9:30am - 10:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30am.
