Jorgjia File, also known as Nëna Xhike, was born in Korçë, Albania, on May 1, 1928, and passed away at the age of 98 in the arms of her daughters Roza and Lili.
She moved to Boston more than a decade ago to live with her daughter Lili and Lili’s husband, Piro Andrea, to be closer to her family and remain surrounded by their care and love.
She lived a life that was difficult but filled with much happiness and love, becoming a widow with 4 children. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved sons, Sotiraq and Vladimir.
She was known for being strong, loving, caring, and sensitive, having raised four children and many grandchildren, always giving her love and strength to her family.
She will be remembered for her warmth, beauty, and strength.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lili and Roza; her grandchildren Serena, Kreuza, Petrika, Jorgen, Jonel, and Elion; her great-grandchildren Dorentina, Kastriot, Matthew, Taulant, David, Frenki, Ksea, and Ensar; her great-great-granddaughter Siena, who loved Nëna very much, along with other loving relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Casper Funeral & Cremation Services, 187 Dorchester Street, Boston, MA 02127.
Burial will take place a few days later in her hometown of Korçë, Albania.
