Francis Michael “Red” “Franny” O’Connor of West Roxbury, formerly of Brighton, passed away on June 25, 2026. Beloved son of the late John J. and Dorothy M. (Woelfel) O’Connor. Devoted brother of Mary Ann Shea and her husband John of West Roxbury, Paul O’Connor and his wife Lorraine of Norwood, Christine O’Connor Downs and her late husband Carroll Downs of NH, the late Charles, John, and Robert O’Connor, and Margaret O’Leary. Dear nephew of Patricia Johnson of NH, Ann Faherty Sceles of Norton, and Judith Donahoe of Randolph. Loving godfather of Jaime O’Connor of Dedham. Brother-in-law of Linda, Carol, and the late Deborah O’Connor. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Visiting in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Tuesday, July 7th from 9:30am to 10:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
