
WEBSTER – Maureen A. (Foley) Wooldridge, 84, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026 in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge with family at her side. With unwavering courage and grace, she fought a long battle with lung cancer, fearing nothing and never yielding.
She leaves her husband of 43 years, Thomas Wooldridge; four children, Maureen A. Fisher and her husband Richard of Dudley, Michael A. Covotta and his partner Holly Somers of Southbridge, and twins Colleen A. Nasis and her wife Rebecca Czernicki of Webster, and Christopher E. Nasis and his wife Amy of Dudley; 8 grandchildren who were the lights of her life, Michael, Kristy, Michael, Morgan, Rachel, Lily, Cy and Brynn; 6 great-grandchildren, Brock, Maizie, Finley, Josie, Jake and Miley; a close cousin, Paul J. Gallo of Grafton; and many friends who will sadly miss her.
She was born on October 1, 1941 in Worcester, the only child of Thomas and Mary (Flynn) Foley and graduated from the former Ascension High School in 1959. She later earned an Associate Degree in Electrology.
Maureen was the activities director at the former Oakwood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for 25 years before retiring.
She spent her summers in Dennis on Cape Cod for 20 years with family and friends. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed crafts. She was a devoted fan of all New England Sports.
She religiously watched the soap opera “Days of Our Lives.” Of Irish descent, she enjoyed all things dealing with Ireland.
Maureen loved her family; every person she met became family to her. She never passed judgment on anyone.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a service beginning at 5:30 PM. Burial will be at a later date. Donations in her name may be made to the John Paire “Be Better” Fund, c/o Dudley-Charlton Regional School District, 68 Dudley-Oxford Road, Dudley, MA 01571.
