Carol Anne (Bremner) Benoit, a resident of Mystic for 44 years, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026 at the Westerly Hospital.
Carol graduated in 1968 from Framingham State College and taught for her entire career at the S.B. Butler Elementary School in Mystic, retiring in 1999 after 31 years of dedicated service.
Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Benoit of Mystic, her son David and his wife Caroline of West Hartford , her daughter Ann and her husband Evan of Hastings on Hudson, New York, and her sister Joanne Kaufman and her husband Richard Kaufman of Hobe Sound, Florida and Hull, Massachusetts. Also surviving are granddaughters Lucy and Marin Benoit, and grandson Desmond Denbaum. Carol also leaves behind her favorite niece Nicole Patuto of Marshfield, MA and her favorite nephew Rich Kaufman of Orlando, FL.
Contributions in her name are appreciated and should be sent to Carol’s favorite charity that rescues, fosters and places senior dogs and those dogs with disabilities, Red Leash Rescue in Stamford, CT. Services were private.
