TEWKSBURY: John T. Anderson, age 69, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 8 years, died Monday, September 18, 2006 at the Wingate of Reading Nursing Home.
He was the husband of Donna M. (Galante) Anderson, with whom he celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on June 2nd.
Born in Everett on February 24, 1937, he was the son of the late John S. and Mary (Doyle) Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was raised in Medford and Winchester.
He attended Winchester schools.
In 1954, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed as president of the former Touraine Paint Company of Everett, where he worked for over 30 years.
Mr. Anderson resided in Lynnfield for 28 years until moving to Tewksbury in 1998.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.
In his later years, he worked at the Horseshoe Restaurant in North Reading.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children; Dirk and his wife Erin, John, Lisa and her husband Eric and Cheryl; two sisters; Mary Jane Arrico and her husband William and Lois McInerney and her husband William.
At the request of the family there are no calling hours.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
