Douglas Scheer of Hooksett, NH passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026.
Born on May 17, 1947 in the Hartford, CT area, Douglas lived a life marked by service and devotion to family and friends that were like family.

Above all, Doug was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, his children, Wendy Chaves, Heather Williams and her husband Chris Williams, Kevin Scheer and his wife Jen Scheer, Douglas Scheer, and Michael Scheer, 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons, his sisters, Nancy McGarvin and Judy Slate, and his brother, Robert Scheer. He leaves behind a family that loves him deeply and who will forever cherish their memories of him.
Doug will be remembered for his unwavering love to his family and those he saw as family, his loyalty to those he cared about, the warmth and humor he brought to the lives of others, and his service to his country. He will be greatly missed.
May he rest in peace and be forever in our hearts.
