James E. Vecchi, age 59, June 8, 2026. He was the son of Kathleen E. Vecchi and the late V. Joseph Vecchi. He is survived by his siblings Jacquelyn of Weymouth, Mary of Scituate, Michael (Jane) of Millis, his sister-in-law Madalene of Salt Lake City, his special cousin James Cove and family of Wrentham, as well as his nieces Amanda, Emily, Lia, Annie, and Kara, his grand-niece Maeve and grand-nephew Julian. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph.
James was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was a long time employee of the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Brockton.
A visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St, Dedham on Saturday, June 13 from 8:00-9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10:00am (accessible parking in the rear of the church). Relatives and friends kindly invited. Private interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
